New apartments on the rise in Church Hill

A Richmond developer is capping East Broad Street with 33 new apartments. Margaret Freund of Fulton Hill Properties has started construction on The Lofty, a two-building apartment complex spanning a block between Broad and Marshall streets in Church Hill. The $4.5 million project will be Fulton Hill Properties’ second Church Hill apartment development in the last three years.

New owners for former Church Hill school

A Charlottesville-area real estate firm has staked an $8 million claim in Church Hill. B.R.J. Enterprises, a Keswick-based company headed by Susan and Dennis Ould, landed in the Richmond market last month after buying Church Hill’s Lava Lofts apartments from local estate company Fulton Hill Properties.
